Bahcesehir College which was founded with the mission of providing of the highest and most contemporary education , while always holding dear the principle of equality of opportunity began providing education at its site in Nilufer / Bursa. Students learn by being made aware of the importance of English from the very start of nursery school, learning through both 'doing' and 'experiencing'. Through a series of activities including presentations, songs, and drama activities, they put into practice what they have learnt.
The "Personalized Teaching Model" is applied to maximize the effectiveness of language acquisition. By focusing on the skills that the students need help in developing, teachers are able to prepare individualized homework assignments.
So as to reinforce the skills learned as part of the language learning process, teachers make effective use of technology. Through the employment of computer-assisted smart boards, lessons are made more exciting and relevant, while simultaneously raising students motivation towards the learning process. Classroom technology is used in conjunction with self-study technology and accompanying software.
Students obtain an opportunity to receive accreditation for their language-learning efforts and assess their progress in an international context by entering the Cambridge Young Learners Exams, tests sat worldwide by the 9-12 year age group and that form an integral part of the European Language Portfolio framework.
Students have the opportunity to take part in summer programs held every year at prestigious schools in both the UK and the USA at which they have the chance to use and reinforce their language skills in the most natural environment possible.
Bahcesehir College became the first foreign school to be awarded the prestigious "Blue Ribbon Award for Educational Excellence" by the Schools of Excellence Association. The school was awarded a rating of excellent in nine of the categories of accreditation deemed necessary to receive the award.
