PRIVAT TAN SCHOOLS (Bursa)

Private Tan Schools which are located in Bursa, Turkey consist of two kindergartens, a primary school, two high schools and two study centres within its institutional framework. It was founded in 1973 by seven teachers who aimed to raise the level of education in all branches. The school was founded with the mission of providing the highest and most contemporary education. Both girls and boys study at Tan Schools and they share the same classroom to be educated in a modern and up to date atmosphere.

At Tan Schools there are different subjects such as Foreign Languages (English, French and German), Mathematics, Science, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Social Studies, History, Geography, Turkish Literature, Religion, Philosophy, Physical Education, Music, Art and Drama.

Teachers follow the latest methods, techniques and approaches in teaching different subjects through in service courses provided by the school managers. Teachers join the in service courses to renew their knowledge in their field and to get to acquire the latest innovations. The lessons are planned to consider individual differences and also different learning styles for visual, auditory and kinesthetic students. The lessons are enriched and made more effective by using smart boards in the classrooms.

Tan Schools are committed to provide a supportive and caring environment where excellent educational provision, a wide and varied programme of extra-curricular opportunities blend together to create an environment where every individual is valued. Teachers cooperate with each other and through cross curriculum activities they provide the learners with an effective learning environment.

Tan Schools have started taking outstanding steps in national and international projects aimed to follow the educational systems in the world. Joining Network VoiceS Project is related to connecting schools with the educational system of other modern countries throughout the world. We aim to share ideas with other teachers in different countries to cooperate and produce educational projects.
