Student Innovation Workshop: Teachers4Future, for students of teacher education institutes.
The goal of the course is to:
1. To inform students about European Teachers and European Teacher model.
2. Work with the interactive resources of O1 (21st and 2020 skills) and O2 (European Teacher as Reflective Practitioner).
Recognition of learning outcomes:
The learning outcomes will be rewarded with 4 ECTS.
Methodology:
The method is an initial state investigation of the 21st century and 2020 competencies and skills.
The intensive course enables students to make acquaintance with an open course organized by a consortium of 4 European countries: NL, CZ, ESP and AT.
The intensive course: Teachers4Future is an introduction to the 3 of the modules of the European teacher model:
1. European Professionalism (comparative education).
2. Innovation for Teacher Education with implementation the concept developed in Faculty of Education of Palacký University in Olomouc (Učitel 21) and with outcomes of the project LEEN.
3. European Identity, Diversity, and European Citizenship - strategies for teaching in intercultural society (work with immigrants/refugees children, pupils from the social excluded environment).
The modules will be open access online in a Moodle environment. The contact with students starts before the workshop and continues after the face-toface lectures. For participants, this is a flexible blended course (e-learning, intensive workshop of one week, support from the members of the international network European-teachers).
The course will be evaluated formatively. We plan to offer the intensive course annually in two different countries as the start of the master: Entrepreneurial Teacher.
The intensive course: teachers4future (C2) covers all three objectives of WAVE-IT:
1: Development of didactical strategies for entrepreneurship.
2: Development of critical thinking strategies to support reflective practice through collaboration and communication between teachers, learners and academics.
3: Implementation of entrepreneurial and reflective competences and skills in teacher education.
The modules will be on-line in a Moodle environment. The contact with students starts before and continues after the face-to-face course. For participants, this is a flexible course. Part of the course will be accessible in their country. They can do the course at their own pace and next to their job.
Planning:
The course will be organized in November 2020 in Olomouc (P1) for 30 future teacher students after a successful completing 2nd year of the bachelor study programme. They are from 18 students from the Czech Republic and 4 students from 3 partner countries.
The staff of the course consists of 2 people from Lab 1 and Lab 2 for 5 days. P1 is responsible for organizing the courses, making the programme, receiving the host teachers and continuity within the course, the guidance of the participants and the certificates.
