Aim of the Network

The VOICE of European TeacherS (VOICES) will become a network, which connects students as future teachers, teachers, teacher trainers, researchers and persons of other institutes (connected to the educational field) in Europe.

The overall aim is to implement European Teacher competences (European Teacher competences developed during the projects of Face-it: 134362-LLP-1-2007-1-NL-COMENIUS-CMP and ETSize: 510134-LLP-1-2010-1-NL-COMENIUS-CAM) and European key-competences for lifelong learning in the curricula of schools and teacher training institutes.

The VOICE of European TeacherS (VOICES) network will give schools, teachers, students, teacher trainers, researchers and representatives of other institution in the field of education, the possibility to stay in contact, work together, start new projects and share best practice. Collaboration during projects and reflection on our activities are the keys in the learning processes within the network.

The VOICES will disseminate knowledge and experience from the face-it and ETSize projects to other teacher training institutes and to schools.

The VOICES network builds on the European Teacher Model and on a strong relationship with partner institutes. Face-it partners form the core of the VOICES network. The VOICES network will disseminate the products of the face-it project.

The VOICES network builds on the developed in-service courses and a relationship with high motivated teachers of primary and secondary schools to become a member in the network.

In the VOICES network we want to strengthen the links between:

  • Schools of primary and secondary education and teacher training institutions and other institution in the field of education;
  • Students and teachers in primary and secondary schools; Students (future teachers of partner institutes) and teachers (members in the international network). Young teachers are highly motivated and can bring in fresh ideas. They will do research and assist teachers during their practical abroad (within the Erasmus programme);
  • Teachers and teacher trainers, future teachers, teachers and representatives of other institutions as, educational departments of councils, school advisors or school inspectors in an international network;
  • Students working with teachers, teacher trainers and researchers in knowledge circles.
