ALI DURMAZ ORTAOKULU (secondary school)
Ali Durmaz is a public secondary school, located in Bursa, Turkey. It has been offering education for 400 students aged 9-14 since 1997. The facility was constructed by Ali Durmaz, the well-known businessman of the city and donated to the Ministry of Education. Our school has 3000 m2 closed and 5870 m2 total area. There exist 22 classrooms, 1 pre-primary classroom, a library, 2 activity rooms, a multi purpose hall, a science laboratory, a computer room, a canteen, a gymnasium, a basketball pitch, 2 playgrounds. As the teaching team of 26 teachers, we all have the same mission,that’s to give our pupils the best education possibilities. We encourage them learn by doing, living and experiencing. Learning is lifelong process and our pupils should have the confidence of chasing for any learning opportunity.
Our pupils represent our school both in national and international sports activities,especially in court tennis.
We are happy that our “clean school”and “saving our culture” projects have been awarded by the local government.
In the academic year 2012 -2013 we participated in the project of ‘Voices’.Due to our participation in this project , we have opportunity to share and learn experinces about education with European teachers.
